It has been a crazy few weeks, and I have to say it is nice to stay home for more than a few days in a row! Even though now I am stuck at home with the slowest moving hurricane headed my way… things are GOOD!

Now, it’s time for me to focus on our next *big trip* – PARIS! That’s right, I’m going to Disneyland Paris for the first time EVER!! I’ll be running the 36K Challenge (duh) and my husband will be joining me (for the 5k, too!).

We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary (omg!) and learning as much as possible about the Disneyland Paris Parks and Resorts. I’ll also be gearing up to start to sell packages for 2020 Disneyland Paris races. If you have any Paris tips for me, I’d love to hear them!!

Two important things about 2020 Disneyland Paris Race Weekend – it is the 5th Running (anniversary year!!), so it’s going to be a huge party! Also, these packages have tiered pricing… so the sooner you book, the better your price will be. I plan on locking myself in for 2020 pretty much as soon as humanly possible.  Can you say Marvel Hotel?!

So, excusez-moi while I go practice my French, and hunker down for the slowest moving hurricane everrrrrrrrr…..

Disney News

We did it. Galaxy’s Edge. It’s now officially open on BOTH coasts, and it has been named one of TIME’s “World’s Greatest Places”. Guys, I don’t disagree. And I don’t even really like Star Wars.

We are in full Halloween mode at Walt Disney World Resort… but next up is DISNEYLAND! Halloween Time at Disneyland kicks off September 6th, and it’s going to be amazing.

I had the chance to drive past the new Rivera Resort and got a sneak peek at what the resort will look like, and I’m telling you that big ol’ “RR” is going to be iconic! Disney posted a video a while back with a little “behind the scenes” look at the construction. It’s pretty cool if you want to check it out! The look of this resort is really unique, and I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Last but not least – MY FAVORITE UPDATE – 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is Now Open for 87 Days Through Nov. 23! I had a chance to check it all out on opening day, and it’s going to be a great festival this year. I already have some favorite dishes (frozen apple pie I am coming back for you!) … and there are TWO challenges you can complete this year. More info on those at a later date…

On a more serious note, we’ve been having some fun with these Hurrican Dorian memes – but the devastation in the Bahamas is absolutely heartbreaking.  The Walt Disney Company has pledged to donate over $1 Million to relief and recovery efforts, and I urge you to donate as well.  The Grand Bahamian Disaster Relief website has a great list of ways you can help – just click here to take a look.

Wine & Dine Runners!! Most of you should be able to book your fast passes this week… if you are booked with us then you should have received our tips & tricks info re: fast passes! Check your inbox!

While most of the country is going to start to cool off a bit, it’s still pretty much the surface of the sun here in Florida. Jeff Galloway recently posted some information about Warm Weather Running on the runDisney blog – definitely worth a read!!

On The Blog

Your Star Wars Bottles were banned from air travel… and now they’re cool again. So really, no news here, but just in case you want to read about the TSA Drama – you can click here

On our last trip to Magic Kingdom, we got to do something that most people wouldn’t find exciting, but we kind of loved… Disney in the Rain. Check out the post for tips/tricks and a few reasons why a rainy day at Disney could be your best day at Disney!

I also had a chance to sit down and reflect on one of my favorite rides… Soarin’.  Since California was running the “vintage” ride for a limited time while I was there… obviously I had to judge the two. Soarin’ Over California vs. Soarin’ Around the World… what are your thoughts?!

Take a quick look at your driver’s license. Does it have a star in the upper right corner? The TSA is preparing to take a page out of Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches and allow only those with starred licenses to fly within the United States.

Also, this is fun.  Travel Pulse put together a list of the Best and Worst US Airports for TSA Security Wait Times… is your local airport on the list?

This last post is for the runners.  Challenges.  We love our challenges.  What do you guys think about the Bermuda Triangle Challenge?  You can earn the challenge medal by running the mile on Friday night, 10K on Saturday morning, and then the half or the full marathon on Sunday! Interested???  Just reply to this email if you’d like more information!

Photopass and if you’d like me to put together a quick little guide for some tips/tricks and the best places to snag some photos.

The response was awesome!

I’m working on that now and will blast it out as soon as it’s finished!

See ya next week!
