I am back from Paris and oh man, I could go on for DAYS about it. Which I totally plan to do, by the way… once I take a few more naps.
Before I left for Paris – you may have noticed a little change over on Instagram.
That’s right – I changed my handle! I didn’t think it would be *that* big of a deal, but I had a LOT of people reach out to ask me about it, so I figure this is the best place to explain!
While I absolutely 100% believe in and stand behind the No Guilt Life(style)… I was ready for a little change. Meghan and I wanted a handle that spoke a little bit more to Disney and embodied the fun (and work) we put into our daily life!
And so, HeighHoSarah was born!
This is a play on “Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it’s off to work we go!” and really at the end of the day ties into so many different aspects of my life. I’m ALWAYS “off to” something. Snow White was a major risk undertaken by Disney Studios, and it paid off in the end… and taking risks is so important to me. Plus the link to Dopey is just too perfect!
Now let’s get to the exciting stuff… what’s been going on this week? What did I miss when I was in the Disneyland Paris bubble?
In exciting news for my Vegan friends… soon, every major quick and table service restaurant on both coasts will have plant-based options. These menus are set to launch at all Quick Service restaurants on October 1st, and all Table Service restaurants by October 3rd. Head over to the Disney Parks Blog for a preview of some of the new offerings!
Something else changing in the parks on October 1st – the end of Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration. No more party outfits, folks! Several other meet and greets will be changing at that time too:
- Mickey Mouse will be back in his Magician Outfit in Town Square Theater
- Minnie Mouse will go back to her regular spot in Storybook Circus, so Pluto will be roaming around the area
- Chip & Dale will meet at the Splash Mountain Exit
- Anastasia, Drizella, and Fairy Godmother will meet at the Castle Archways
Something Disney but not really Disney – Visit Orlando has a Magical Dining offer during the month of September, and you have a few days left to take advantage! It has been extended through October 7th – so there is still plenty of time to participate. There are some great options at Disney – $35 for a three-course dinner. Check out the participating restaurants if you’ll be in town, and be sure to request the Magical Dining Menu upon arrival!
In FESTIVAL NEWS… It’s officially official! Dates have been announced for the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival 2020 – March 4th through June 1st! I promise to update you all when we find about the menus, concerts, and topiaries! Spoiler Alert; REMY is coming!
First off, Disneyland Paris Magic Run Weekend was just as magical as I had hoped it would be! I have a recap posted for the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon if you’d like to read more about each event! And yes… we are booking 2020 RIGHT NOW.
I do want to point out, we’re already running low on our discounted rooms, so if you know you want to run, I wouldn’t wait!
And yes, we are taking deposits to hold your place for Disneyland Paris Princess Run as well. We had a pretty big announcement during the Expo that this race weekend will have a 5K and an 8K race only. More on that, later…
Moving on to the Walt Disney World Races – runDisney made some pretty big announcements about the 2020 Marathon course… and I have some questions. We’re going to be running through Blizzard Beach… we’re going to spend less time on the outer roads… we’re getting an “outdoor exclusive area”… and we’re starting half an hour earlier in the morning. Ok, so I have lot’s of questions, actually.

Thinking about Wine & Dine Weekend has me thinking about the Food and Wine Festival which has me thinking about the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. Now, running and music have always had a fun relationship – and I’ve put together a little runDisney Playlist to help get you excited for the festival, the concerts, and the races!
I promise I’ll stop talking about Disneyland Paris one day… but that day is not today. The biggest hurdle people face in thinking about visiting is easy – PRICE. I broke it down this week to show you that you CAN Afford the trip! Spoiler alert: a package for runDisney Paris was about $1,000 less than a package for Wine & Dine...
During the pre-race entertainment before the 5K, they played this really cool video and I scoured the internet until I found it… and I did! Fan.tasia is the Disney Video Mashup you didn’t know you needed in your life…
